Hi! My name is Jackie Masloff. I’m a teacher and a freelance writer, located just outside of Boston, Massachusetts.
My teaching focus is computer programming and technology courses. I became interested in computers many years ago when I was studying architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and I took a computer course that enabled me to print out circles, squares, rectangles and the like. That may seem lame in comparison to what computers can do today but it was quite extraordinary at the time.
After practicing in the field of architecture for three years, I left it for the computer industry and a world of technical support and later on managerial positions in various companies. I always had an interest in teaching, having taught at Boston University for 15 years where I received my master’s degree and at other colleges, and so decided to make teaching my full-time career in 2003.
I spent some time teaching in the public school system in Massachusetts, teaching introductory computer and programming courses, but recently found my calling at the college level. I now teach an introductory computer course, a computer applications course and even an Algebra course on a part-time basis at a local college. I truly love teaching and my all my students!
When I am not teaching or grading papers, I write. My specialty is general articles on any topic that is assigned me but I also write web content and blogs for clients as well as my own blog.
I am currently available for freelance work.
